How to increase external traffic to your hub

Hubbers would get most of their traffic from hubpages. Since hubpages is optimized with search engines, it is possible to get higher search engine ranking. But most of the peoples' question is that how to get a regular flow of traffic to your hub. The traffic from hubpages and google will fall after a month. In order to achieve a regular external traffic to your hub; you must post the URL of your hub in public forums, e-mail, free classifieds etc. Posting in some forums and classifieds would require to sign up with them. It is good to create a separate e-mail account for them because some forums would spam your inbox.

Public Forums

There are vast numbers of forums in which you can post the URL of your hub. Forums provide a good source of traffic. It also creates backward link to your hub which promotes search engine ranking. I will discuss about it in my new hub later. Forums enhances traffic to your hub and your popularity. You can drive external traffic to your hub of any category. Be right in choosing the right domain such that the content of your hub must match the forum for getting quality traffic.

Example: If the content in your hub is related to Adsense, you can answer to questions relating to Adsense account disabled, increasing earning, changing address, Payee name etc. you can also drive traffic by asking suggestion about you hub in forums. Every person with similar problem and doubt would surely visit your hub. I have listed a few forums which focus on earning money online. Don't want to go far away for searching forums while hubpages have forum which have an excellent traffic driving power. But there are many other forums available.

Composing Videos

This step is not very important but if you good in camera and editing, you can post video with medium length in major video sharing sites like YouTube, Metacafe, Google videos etc. Make a good video with the URL of your hubpages profile/hub at the center. This method will fetch considerable amount of traffic to your hub and enhances clicks on ads. Make a slide show of “making money” and “dollars” at the video. That’s enough. Finally, display your hub URL in block letters at the end of the video. For instance, you can see the many videos which are posted in YouTube which reveals money making methods. There is a website (moneymakingmachines.us) which followed the video traffic driving method to achieve increased clicks. This is possible in hubpages. You can also expect organic (search engine) traffic to your hub via video. I e, when someone search google with “online money” the link to your video on YouTube will be displayed at the first page of search result. So, the video posting strategy indirectly increases organic traffic to your hub. Also, don’t forget to post the URL of your hubpages profile and hubs at the description part of the video.

Miscellaneous Methods

There are some other ways like e-mailing your followers, posting URL of your hub in your group, creating backward links etc.
